 We believe
that the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the only inspired,
infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
We believe in
one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in
the hypostatic union of Jesus Christ; that is, He is completely God and
completely man. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life and in His
miracles. We also believe that His death on the cross completely atoned for sin
through His shed blood. We also believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead
as well as in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe in His
personal return in power and glory. He is now the High Priest and Advocate of
all believers.
We believe that
the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during
this age, to convict men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell,
guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. We also
believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.
We believe that
for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is
essential, and that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord
and Savior is the only way to come into a relationship with God.
We believe in
water baptism by immersion soon after accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as
personal Savior. This serves as a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to
a new life. We also believe in the frequent observation of the Lord's Supper.
This is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death
of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in
it.
